Buzz Buzz

Somedays I feel like a little worker bee, just flying around and always on a mission. These last few days have just been going and going. To start with this last week, I was so busy that every night I didnt get to bed until 2:30... and that is late for me. Monday was the bachelor, and then I had to study biology with my friend Andrew. On Tuesday I spent hours studying and the treated myself to Pretty Little Liars. Wednesday I made dessert for my friend David and his roommates because he was opening his mission call the next day. I made my molten lava cakes again... and they were better the second time, for sure! If you want to try them too, here is the recipe for the molten lava cakes! Thursday David flew home to open his call! He is going to Merida Mexico!! Then later that night my aunt and I were up until 2:00 AM making 8 dozen Kolaches! If you are from Texas then you know exactly what I am talking about. They are an amazing roll type thing with fruit or  meat and other things inside, and they are delicious! We just made sausage and cheese kolaches. If you want to try them here is the recipe for the wonderful kolaches. Friday Sam and Laurel came over and we watched more of the Bachelor and talked! On Saturday I slept in. finally. I helped stuff bags of popcorn for BYUHSA screen on the green, then I went to pounders with sam, bonnie, boone, casey, tyler and alec. After that Sam and I went to Seven brothers again with some girls, and we ran into Karsten, Andrew, and Beth. We ate dinner with them and then headed over to the basketball game! It was the last of the season and thankfully we won! After the basketball game we headed over to screen on the green and ended the night with Remember the Titans. Sunday was an early wake up as usual for 8 am church. I went to a good devotional by Elder Bednar and had ward prayer with my uncles ward! Monday was another longggg day! I went to my classes as usual but then I had to go pick up David from the airport. I got to the baggage claim and like usual the crazy airport lady wouldnt let me wait on curb so I had to drive round and round again! Finally I picked up David. David suggested we go to dinner at Rainbows Drive In, featured on food network! We had "real" hawaiian food, and it was pretty good but greasy! On the way home we stopped for a little Costco run and then headed home! After I dropped him off I went to Nicia and Kaitlyns house to watch the bachelor women tell all... it stopped halfway and we couldnt finish:( So we will have to finish it later this week! Hopefully this little honey bee will get to take a break soon! Only 6 more weeks of school and then I am home to see my little baby niece Bea!!

11. Sunday. church is so early. 8 am is cruel for a college student. so at 7:45 I pull myself out of bed. Then took a 3 hour nap after church, walked over to my aunts house and helped with dinner. then for dessert, my cousin ben and I made my favorite dessert ever. chocolate molten lava cakes. oh my gosh. they were amazing.

well now back to the real world.  I am sure I missed something because it has been so long. so many things, so little time.

The Long Weekend.

To start off this blog post, let me just say that this was an amazing long weekend.
On friday peter, madison, david, ben, and a couple of other girls and I went to the beach right after school. The surf at keikis was soooooo big so we just chilled in the tide pools and watched the huge waves crash.
if in doubt, dont go out

Later that night me, peter, ben, ian(the next door neighbor), kaitlyn, nicia, amanda, and carlie all went camping! we had two tents dont worry. We went to kawela bay(where they shot some of the hunger games) it was the perfect camping location! in the woods but right next to the beach.

Then on saturday peter and franco went surfing while the rest of us went to henry's swim meet. He did great! then emma and i went in to town and played with eva in the park while we waited for peter and franco to be done surfing. once they got back we went out to lunch at our thai food restaurant. When we got back we went to a game night at carlies and then to a couple dance parties!

my sweet eva in the park

On sunday we went to church obviously, but then decided to have a movie night in our recently cleaned garage. boy did it look good! we were expecting maybe 10 people to show up... but no there were 24 people! It was a blast! we watched heavy weights. we put the deck couches in and had a couple blow up mattresses. we put the projector up and showed it on the big white wall! Everyone had a great time, it might become a weekly thing! I did the dishes with my friend Sam and then we walked home. when i got into my room my roommate and friends were watching pitch perfect and i couldnt resist so i sat with them and watched as well.

our pimped out garage!

the cookies for our movie night were a hit!

Monday rolled around and we headed back into town! We went to the aquarium and had burgers! another great day!
jelly fish. jelly. fish. (jullian smith anyone)

That was my weekend! Full of fun and excitement. Who knows what this next weekend will hold? i dont, but i cant wait to find out!

One of those days.

I rolled out of bed for my 7:40 class, as I emerged from my warm fuzzy sheets I felt the cold hawaiian breeze and knew I wasn't going to look "cute" today. I put on my under armour leggings, sweatshirt, my fuzzy polka-dot socks(courtesy of my mother) and my Minnetonka slippers.

This week started off pleasant, my adventurous sunday outfit. (Buttoned all the way up)
This my friends is the view from my classrooms, the testing center, and everywhere else on campus. What can I say, I am one lucky girl.

So Pete enlisted me on an cooking spree, he said "I have a ton oats, lets make home make granola bars" which means...Abby make me granola bars. So I tried a bunch of different recipes for high protein snacks. This one was actually pretty good.

If you want to try them, here is the recipe
So it took a while but I went through my junk email yesterday and this is what I found... who do they think I am?!? Dating Application, Date Real Cheating Wives, and Married but Lonely... Are these sights trying to send me a message!?

Unfortunately I have accounting homework to do...
Stay Sweet,
Abby

Home for the Holidays.

Touching down on the mainland for the first time in four months was one of the happiest feelings I have ever had. Now dont get me wrong, I love love love Hawaii, but it's something about being home and on the east coast that just makes me light up. Even though I spent most of life in the south, I started it in New Jersey, and I have spent the last 5 years in Connecticut.
Peter and I watched movies, and slept, and I finished reading Reached. My mom and Dad picked us up from the airport and we were on our way home. First order of business... see my dog. Second order of business... sleep. Then to follow, rummage through my fridge, use my own bathroom and get ready for a sunday in my home ward. Seeing everyone was amazing!
As the week went on it just got better and better. I hung out with my friends on tuesday. Seeing Zach and Nick was great. I missed them like crazy. We prank called my roommate and it wasn't until the whole room was laughing that I dont know what I would do with these kids in my life. I went shopping with chloe and got some of the cutest things on sale at J. Crew. But the party didnt start until thursday. Vanessa came home! And boy did we party! We planned this giant party on thursday but nobody responded to coming so we thought it was going to be a dud. We started cooking at 4:30 on Friday and the party was at 8:30. We were more than surprised when almost every person we invited had showed up! We probably had over 30 people there. We had a hot chocolate bar, delicious chocolate cake, and pretzels dipped in homemade carmel, chocolate, and sprinkled with peppermint candy canes. This party was also a white elephant party and ugly christmas sweater party. It was a blast!
The traditions were starting and we knew it was christmas time. My brothers and dad had gotten a new TV because our previous one was getting old so we rearranged the basement and it looks great! Just in time for our christmas eve party. On christmas eve as usual we went to chinese food. It was so good and just what I needed. Then we started cooking mexican food and went to God's acre for the christmas caroling. We partied and preformed our skits. Here is what the kids in my family did.
Yeah I know we are pretty hilarious.
Christmas day was Fun, my mom got all the kids fluffy bathrobes with our house cup on them so we could all have house robes. Mine has the Gryffindor insignia on it. On christmas day we went to see Les Miserable. It was soooooo good! Caity had a fake labor scare while we were in the theater and thought she was going into labor. But she wasnt. The day after christmas peter, brad, my dad and I went into the city for a day of fun. It started snowing and got super rainy and cold. We went on the intrepid and to the new york city public library. It was brads birthday on the 27th and we had a rainbow cake for  him! We had to got california for my grandmas 80th birthday so I left home a little sooner than I had hoped. I had one last goodbye and nick and I went out to lunch and stopped by zachs house on the way back to say our goodbyes! Not much else happened over break, but man was it good to be home!
Stay sweet,
Abby Jane
